When processing runs, audio is sent securely for transcription and transcript text is sent securely for GPT-5.6 organization. Nugget does not cloud-sync your saved recordings or ideas.

Recording retention

Audio is the largest thing Nugget stores. Once a capture has a transcript, you can let Nugget remove the audio automatically. Transcripts, ideas, actions, and history are never affected, and nothing is removed until you turn a policy on.

Your captures, recordings, transcripts, ideas, organization, and settings, bundled as JSON. The backup is built locally in this browser — send it somewhere off this device so a cleared browser or a lost phone cannot take it with them.
